tiny & Tall : Gleipnir

    Thanks a lot!
    The game is an adaptation of a comic that's already finished, so I have a precise idea of the number of scenes. There will be about 12 'stages', each of those including from 1 to 5 different backgrounds. The scenes from the comic I can't translate into interesting gameplay ideas will be shown as cutscenes, but I'll keep those to a minimum.

    Hey guys! I've got something else you might be interested in, I just finished translating the comic that video game comes from in English, so I thought I'd just drop the link here! http://imgur.com/gallery/jbZgk
    On another note, the game is going to have another translation... in Britton!
    I'm also thinking about a German translation, it seems adventure games are hugely more popular in Germany than they are in France...

    Yes! There is a very huge Adventure community in german:

    Look at the huge number of threads and themes in the forum (since 2001):

    Wow! Well, the only problem I see with that is that I don't speak German, I think it would make exchanges with the community quite problematic... The other thing is the cost of a translation. But I'm thinking about including it in the Kickstarter stretch goals, right after the mac/linux support. I'll have to get some idea of how much it would cost!

    @wimf : Thanks a lot!

    Hey everyone! The Kickstarter project for my game just went live, I'd be very grateful if you decided to back it or share it! Cheers!

    It is indeed! Available both in French and English. I'm still not fluent in German in spite of my best efforts, so I couldn't translate it...

    OK smile I thought it was only French...

    One criticism: Mac and Linux version as stretch goal. Hm...

    Ah, yes... Well, it was a matter of cost, really. I wasn't confident I'd be able to raise that much money, so I really limited the costs. As the license is about 1500€... I don't know, maybe if I manage to raise 8k and a sprinkle of coins more, I'll do it anyway!

    Are you talking about the VS license? The €1500 license is only for commercial games. By commercial we mean games published by a third party publisher that have hired you (as developer) to make the game for them. The commercial license is also required if you are planning on selling your game as a physical product in retail stores (digital stores don't count).

    If you only plan on releasing your game on windows, mac or linux, then you only need the basic or multi-user license. If you plan on releasing on the above mentioned & on android & / or iOS then you need the mobile license.
