Release date for 4.3?

  • #60, by afrlme 10 years ago Zitieren

AGS have a option for NPC as solid or not solid. AGS is 2D engine .

But how does it determine what is the solid part or does it work on the alpha mask or something? It wouldn't be right good if the entire thing was solid as it would prevent characters from being able to walk behind it, hence why I believe a radius approach would be better.

As far as i know AGS use BlockingHeight/Width for characters and it make a rectangle or same reduce the area they block that you said.please see here:

Im curious if we could see some more sneak peaks (images) on what to expect for the new editor gui.
I know that there was a screenshot before a while back. But that looked quite unfinished....

It is still unfinished and a great construction site. So please stay calm wink We won't post any more screenshots at the moment.

Do I have to pay again for the 4.3 or not? I think, this three or four HUGE bugs (can't use truetype, crash in actions, crash sometimes in dialogs, character step problems) should be fixed in the current version, shouldn't it? I don't need any additional 3D stuff - it's a 2D engine for 2D games, I think, it should work for this... ;-)

No, anyone that owns a 4.x license will get all updates for free. License renewal will be at version 5.x.

TTF font stuff should be working correctly already in current public build (4.2.5).

Thanks! I'm looking for the next release. roll
This tt-font thing doesn't work properly in 4.2.5 - there isn't the correct distance between letters (exactly: no distance) and I have the same problem with using return (calls paragraph, right?). Sometimes the distance between lines is corrupted (more than 500%)... so I don't use tt-fonts. I tried 5 different fonts.

I didn't notice any issues with it, but I've not tried using any other fonts in a while & I keep all fonts to a single line.

A great addition in one of the next versions would be to set coordinates from values for action parts where you define x and y positions (display object text, send character to position, etc).

I know some of these are possible via lua, but this would be easy to implement i think and would be more accessible for those who are not so experienced...

Any confirmation of what bug fixes are included in the new release?
