Which resolution do you use in your game?

Iam using 1920x1080, but im kinda afraid that someone wont be able to play my game if he got a monitor which doesnt support 1920x1080
Visionaire Studio automatically scales your game to fit the available surface area when in fullscreen. It keeps the same aspect ratio which means that black borders will be automatically added vertically/horizontally on a display that has a different aspect ratio than your default game resolution.

Window mode will automatically display at default game resolution size unless a resolution is specified in the config.ini file.

PS: 800 x 600 is too high for pixel art and too low for not-pixelated fine art

    Thank you, everyone.
Friday I switched to 1920x1080. It works fine and looks much better now.

    1920 x 1200

1920x1200 is 16:10. Most common display resolution is 1920x1080 & 16:9 aspect in general (1280x720, 1366x768 <- most common laptop resolution, 1920x1080 <- most common monitor display) -- there's others of course but those are the most common resolutions that people use.

Well my monitor is 16:10 so it's kind of fits with the game nicely smile It's not too late to change i guess but i like having more res to work in.

The game resolution you choose in the game options is not about the work area, it's the resolution that your game will get scaled up or down from for everyone that plays your game. If you change the game resolution now, then any scenes that contain a background image larger than 1920x1080 or whatever resolution you specify, it would make those scenes (including menu scenes) become scrollable.

Oh yes yes i get all that smile i know i would have to crop background images if i decide to go with the lower res. I'm just stubborn that way. Maybe i will just keep 16:10 irrationally really. Sorry if i make no sense.

This is how would 1920 x 1200 game look like on a 1920 x 1080 monitor. People are use to have horizontal black lines. Vetrtical lines doesn't look that natural and might be giving an oldschool feeling.

also a 1200p game would get shrinked DOWN on a 1080p Monitor, so the 1920pixel width gets also shrinked and results in detail loss...
