Visionaire 5 Public Beta Test now live!

    Is it save to work with the beta on our game or it's only supposed to be for testing purposes only? I'm afraid of loosing the progress when some problem comes up and i can't no longer continue in 4.2.5.

    I work with it for about 2 months now and it's fine. Problems should be solved quickly smile

    The save and run current scene is a great function that saves a lot of work. That alone could be a reason to change to 5.0.

    But the character outfits are somewhat buggy. I was just trying to place the animation center via the animation studio (eye-icon), but that's not working at all. The animation I select for comparison doesn't appear, I can't change the transparency and it is impossilbe to close the window. (neither "ok" or "cancel" had any effect, I had to shut down visionaire completely)

    question regarding run current scene:
    how does the engine determine where to place the character? Is there some pre work needed to get this working then? (cant test because of macOS)

    fade to new scene with 600 ms now is flashing.

    In the old version the transition was smooth now I see the scene flashing before leave it.

    @Sebastian: I think the player chooses one of the first objects in the scene to place the character. Actually it should not matter where the character is placed. It's only to make testing easier / faster.

    Tested the particle system.... awesome!!! grin

    I found a little bug, when you remove the texture to change it, the editor crash.

    I've also updated the shader with the new script, but it's not working with objects.

    But WOW! The particles system is great and so easy to use grin

    What's the word on the export options for vis 5? ( I know the beta doesn't have it) Hoping the porting is much more intuitive grin Looking forward to porting Paradigm to mobile.

    VirtualBox 5.1.14 + Fresh installed Windows 7 Prof. 64-Bit with all Updates an Direct 11. If I start Visionaire 5:

    ERROR: "d3d_feature_level 10_0 needs to be supported for DX11"

    The export options will get better, especially for Android, I want the possibility to make apks that can directly published, but that's still some work.

    As written in the first post, DX11 required (DX10 support level). You can try gl like I did here: http://www.visionaire-studio.net/forum/thread/visionaire-5-p...!/2/#15
