Visionaire Update 5.0.7

I'm getting a very strange behaviour with my leftclick. Sometimes when I click on the floor the character just teleport himself randomly, often getting stucked outside of the walking area.

I think I'll have to build my demo from scratch, because I didn't think about creating a backup copy and now I can't go back to 5.06...

You can downgrade your ved by removing the new fields, these are listed in the viseditor.log after you try to load the ved.

Have you been using a single ved file all of this time?

You should always create backup copies of your ved file(s) regularly, or at least daily, or before/after any massive changes you make.

Quick note: it's a very rare occurrence these days, but it's actually possible for your ved files to get corrupted. Was more common back in 4.x & before, but it can still happen.

Ok, so in my viseditor.log I found this:

11:50:26.898:Tried to access invalid field. Field (id: -1) does not exist in table Game (id: 116).

11:50:26.898:Error reading project file. Found unknown tag: GameBehaviours.

11:50:26.079:Failed to load ved file thog_demo_MGW

11:50:28.160:cant dock window with id 'languages'

11:50:29.856:cant dock window with id 'scene_properties'
So apparently I have to remove this id: 116 (or id: -1?)
Now you really have to excuse me for my ignorance, how can I do that?

You really should have a warning in the installer to backup projects, or call it a release candidate like you used to.. if nothing else but to cover your ass.. if if messes up a commercial project and they have a good lawyer.. we live in a horrible sue the bast'rd society and were there is blame, there's a claim mentality

    IT. WORKED.
Simon, you just saved me from a catastrophe. Next week is going to be very important for my adventure game, and I nearly screw things up.

Lesson learned: always backup the project before an update, ALWAYS.

P.S. I would never sue you for a mistake I made, warning message or not. I honestly think that, as far as adventure games go, Visionaire engine and its community are the best out there.

    Definitely not working in 5.07:
    execute script - shaderBlur

    works just fine in 5.06
Any idea how to force it to work?
