sudden license key verification/registration issues (SOLVED)

    hi,

I am suddenly having some issues with registering my license key when trying to make a build in Visionaire Studio 5 - which I haven't had problems with before.

When I attempt to build I am prompted that the server can't verify my license key.
When I then register my username and license key as asked, I am told that the registration is successful and I can build games.
Then if I try to build a game, I am once again told the server can't register my license key.
And this just goes on infinitely.

I just bought the mobile license today (having used the indie license before). I have not get any new license key - I don't know if this has something to do with the problem.

    Thank you

No, the license key would be the same. all of the licenses include the indie single license which allows you to develop & export as many games as you like digitally for windows, mac, & linux. The mobile license is just more like purchasing the rights/permission to distribute one of your games commercially for mobile platforms.

Try redownloading Visionaire from the Licenses page on here - there was a new update yesterday too.

The serial number and your user name should be encrypted in the Viseditor.ini file. It has happened to me that for some reason this entry got lost, e.g. when I tried unregistered trial versions. Because all editor versions use the same ini file and overwrite each other.

So I've tried deleting and reinstalling Visionaire from the licenses pages a couple of times now - and no change.

What you're talking about makes sense to me Machtnix, as once I had bought the new license, I redownloaded Visionaire 5. And it's pretty much since then things have stopped functioning.

How did you did you fix your problem?

    Thanks for the quick replies!

I had a backup file with this .entry smile

But I don't have your problem, because I use the same key from the beginning.
Maybe you rename the ini-file to *.bak (or something like that, - of course don't delete it) and reinstall Visionaire from the licence page (with user name and key!). Then the program would have to create a virgin, completely new file with the current number. But for all these questions, only Simon can really help you...

    The problem has been fixed!

There had apparently been a mix up in the database, but that's been changed and all is good again.

    Thanks for the suggestions!
