Spaces eaten by the build

@ Alex: I don't think space width was ever enabled for TTF fonts; at least, not that I remember anyway. I was told that TTF uses its own space values or something.

    * edit #1: setting space width via editor does nothing for TTF fonts. I also updated it via Lua script & printed out the space value for the font to see what it returned.

    * edit #2: ok so it seems to be an issue with enabling borders. I know that there are issues on the mac with displaying TTF fonts when borders are enabled, well in the case of windows it seems to remove the spacing between words. If you disable borders then it should correctly space the words.

Quick note: Just to clarify, space width does not affect TTF fonts in any way.

I thought of something that might or might not be of any relevance here: When typing text to be displayed, the regular ' does not work, I have to use that one : ’ . I suppose that's probably related to my french keyboard, but I find it odd since the font has a character for ' ...while it doesn't have one for ’ ! So the two seem to be mixed up.
Again, that might be irrelevant. I'm flopping like a fish out of the water here.

Oh, sorry, I missed the second edit.
And it works. Thanks a lot! Disabling borders spaces the words correctly. That's really odd, the borders worked like a charm for the whole time I created the scene in the free test version (which was 4.1 I think). Might be a bit of an issue here, but discarding borders is no big deal in my case.
Again, thanks a lot for your help Alex and AFRLme!

Probably a bug created between the builds. The lack of space gets more obvious with fonts with border enabled when you increase their size.

TTF font support was a recent addition to the engine. I'm sure it will get better over the subsequent updates.

Same issue here... Updated to latest version and space was removed in font.

Removing the border fixed it. Thanks for the help

It's been 3 months. Is this issue going to be fixed?

It's fixed, but we are busy, so the next update might take some time.

This is very frustrating to see, that fixed bugs are waiting for the half-yearly official release. Why there are no monthly hotfix updates for example?
