RETRO VGA STYLE Low resolution characters super blurry in preview??

  • #1, by parabolee 5 years ago Zitieren
Sorry to post two questions on the same day, but cna anyone help with this?

I am trying to work with very low resolution sprites. Simulating a classic LucasArts resolution. So my character is 48 pixels tall, so they are TINY in the preview panel and when i zoom in the are super blurry. Making ti very hard to work with them.

Any wayu to fix this? I presume many others have designed games to be in this classic VGA style and have come across this issue.

    Thank you!!!

Unfortunatly it does not seem to effect the character or scene preview when zooming. roll

I think that the editor is rendering the graphics with anti-alias by default inside of the editor preview sections. I don't know if it's possible to force the editor to use nearest neighbor?

Either way, if you are working on a low resolution pixel art game, then you should probably enable "activate pixel effect" & set the min/mag filter to "nearest neighbor" instead of "linear interpolation".

you need to restart the editor after changing this settings btw.

Setting the min/mag filter to nearest neighbor and restarting fixed this!

    THANK YOU GUYS!
