Realistic Walking Sounds

It has a mic input port, so you don't have to use the built-in mic(s). I have no idea how much a decent field mic actually costs though.

OK, you get a point. The input slot supports power supply for small microphones (what ever...), so you can use a dynamic micro without own power. You can buy a lot of extern mics (every camcorder / smartphone / karaoke supplier offers them) not too expensive. Years ago I bought a mono static mic (used with batteries) for 25 DM (12 Euro). A good dynamic takes less than 30-40 Euro. Of course the most are not professional (no symmetric input).

    Hey Guys,
I'm still looking for great, realistic walk sounds on several grounds like flat grass, earth, sand. I have a couple of great sounds, but still missing some more for special situations.

What if we all stick together and share our content? We could collect all the walksounds we can get, make a best-of and offer the collection to the whole community? smile What do you think?

So, if you have great walk sounds, please send it to my hands. I will collect them and make an archive!

    Best,
    Thomas

Sorry Thomas but I don't own a field recorder. Well at least not in a while. Should probably get one at some point though.

I used walking sound from this Minecraft resource pack which allows using these in own games, too:
