Problem with MacOs build

  • #1, by shiritoru 20 hours ago Zitieren
The game build won't open on MacOs (same version works perfectly on Windows).
I've attached error images. I do remember having a similar problem with my previous game in the older version of Visionaire, but I can't remember how it was solved in the end.

I have the same problem. My brother said this worked for launching the app:
codesign --force --deep --sign - ~/Applications/Mac/NameOfApp.app
    xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ~/Applications/Mac/NameOfApp.app

But, we should be able to build the Mac package as we do for Windows and should be playable, right? Is there any way for VS to sign it while building it?

Hopefully someone will lighen us up please.

Unfortunately macOS has really tightened the requirements, so you can't publish apps without signing and notarizing requiring a developer subscription from Apple. It's getting worse with every update currently.

After downloading and trying to open you need to go into the security settings and allow the app to run if it's not signed.

Okay, got it. I have a developer account, but not sure how to sign it. Will find out.

Is there any way from VS to export for example for web? I have a demo that I want to show to some people that are on Mac. It's a pain in the a** to explain to them you need to do this and go to Privacy etc...

    Thanks!

Edit: or maybe in future, there should be an option to somehow add the developer account signing certificate and then while you export, the game gets signed through the build process.

P.S. Visionaire Studio is amazing! Keep up the great work!

Thank you for your answer. Yes, that's what I was thinking too...

Thank you. I'll definitely ask my tester to try it!
