Opinions on potential periodic competition idea...

P.S: it should be "in" not "ain". I've no idea what's going on with my typing / spelling the day. I seem to keep typing things wrong & not even noticing.
Yeah, s.th. like "opinon" :-) But it's ok, mistakes (in English) are normal to me. I think, too much television isn't good for the brain... ;-)

Yeah you're probably right. Not about my English though, I'm usually pretty good with the spelling part of it & fairly consistent when it comes to the grammar side too. Just the day I seem to be having trouble concentrating while I'm typing.

    @ Paupasia: cheers. smile

    @ joemid: Cheers mate. wink

Not a right lot at the minute. I'm just wanting to know how many people would be interested in it. I think we need something to generate more activity in general for Visionaire Studio, whether this is it, or not, I have no clue. grin

As far as i'm concerned, i'm not sure if i'm interested even though i think it's a good idea. Probably if it would be really short as i want to spend time making the main game i'm working on to making it done as soon as possible.

Ahh can't do so many things at once!
Add a maybe option to the first question in the query grin
Could be fun though. Eventually i'm for 72 hours.

Sure I can add a "maybe" option to it. Personally I don't really think anything less than a week is valid because adventure games (except for the exception of first person hidden object genre) take longer to develop, than say a simple platformer game made in game maker because we have no dynamic create & destroy object system. I think anything between a week & 2 weeks should be enough time for people to scrape something together & it's up to the contestant how much of that allocated time they actually want to spend on their submission. As I already mentioned, it's not about making a masterpiece. It would be just for a bit of fun as well as a learning experience. wink

I can't vote don't know why not, but I like the idea. I guess I won't participate because it's too much English...

Broken English is fine. Remember you don't technically even have to use words in games. Titles such as Machinarium, Gomo, Sims etc use speech bubbles with images &/or unintelligible nonsense words (aka babbling or murmuring) to get their point across. wink
