Loving the software! Just paid for a license.
    Happy days!

Some questions while I'm game designing.

    1. Quicktime events possible?
    2. A find-a-word puzzle?
    3. Some form of rail shooting?
    4. A pixel hunt type puzzle? Where you find a list of things on the screen and they pop off.

    1. yes.
    2. yes? (you mean a word search?)
    3. rail shooting? probably possible.
    4. ah the dreaded hidden object game, sure!

Quick time events consist of a combination of pause action parts, conditions / values, if queries & hotspots or key actions (depending on how you want the player to interact).

i too have a question concerning character sizes:

i have a NPC switching scenes. in scene 1 the size is the right one (image size). when the NPC switches from scene 1 to scene 2, i want it to be a bit smaller.

my idea was setting it to a position from scene 1  into scene 2 and to set the character size for the chosen position in the 2nd scene.  it does change scenes and the NPC appears at the chosen position, but i cannot change the size somehow. any ideas what i have to change?
i also set up a waysystem for the NPC with waypoints in scene 2, but this did also not work. tried to set the position of NPC into the waysystem when changing scenes, but only thing i could do is set a position which is not connected to the waysystem, therefore it would not change sizes.

    kind regards

Is the checkbox in your character properties checked to let it be sizable?
Should be checked by default. Then Inside you waypoints, you can set the percentual size for each location.

Because your screenshots show german langauge, i attach a link to a german tutorial regarding character scaling. Hope this helps:

    hello sebastian!

    thanks for answering.
i am already using waypoints in my game and they work fine for the main character.
even know the suggested tutorial, it's great, turbomodus helped me a lot with getting started in visionaire!

but the problem is that i have a fish and a beaver as a character. i do not want the fish to be able to swim on land, so i thought i could set up two different waysystems. one for the beaver, on for the fish. but it looks like i cannot do that? or is there a way?

    Sebastian is turbomodus. grin

you can create multiple way borders in the same way system. & assign different scale values in each, though it might generate scale conflicts depending on how the scene is laid out, but multiple way borders are fine.

As for way systems... only one way system is active at a time & it's assigned to the scene. It works globally on all characters in the scene, though you can apply a scale factor value to each character which will scale the character smaller or larger than the scale values you specifiy in the way system paths.

    found it via google images.

You could actually transition the beaver into the river if you wanted using an animation. Beaver goes close the edge of the land border, then you play an animation of it diving into the river & immediately after or at the end of the animation you set the position of the beaver somewhere inside of the river way border - just an idea/method for you to consider in case you ever use multiple way borders inside of a single way system & need to transfer a character from one section to another.
