Licenses above indie are expensive but way better then original ones. Fair deal.

€490 will allow you to digitally sell your game (single title) for all platforms without kickstarter limitation. Did anyone notice that Linux platform target support has been added? You can now export digitally via the indie licenses for win/mac, and linux. wink

To be honest the new license model is not much different to the 3.x model. It is just a little bit more expensive (a wee bit) & is a lot clearer in regards to what you can, or can not do.

What is the upgrade price from 3.71 to version 4?
  • #7, by marvel 12 years ago Zitieren
Buyers who bought Visionaire Studio 3 between January and April 2014 can update for half the price to the Indie Single User License of Visionaire 4.

Besides this, there will be no additional upgrade prizes... due to organisational reasons.

    Best,
    Thomas

Thank you for these new licences. You did a wonderful job by listening to the community, really! I'm very happy with the new terms, and will of course buy VS4 with pleasure, hoping that it also becomes a commercial success for your team.

The addition of the Linux export is amazing too!

the official license page is actually available when you log out of the community. The page you linked is same as the official license page but with corrections/edits I have added. They haven't been added to to the actual license page yet which can be found here: http://www.visionaire-studio.net/cms/licences-visionaire4.html

Yeah, just wanted to thank you guys for rethinking the license terms. The old version almost scared me off. I'm glad I can continue using your great engine.
