Manual savegame bug

Some of the bugs like sounds & music could be os / hardware related. The others I don't know, could just be an oversight on your part or something which is causing the condition you may have linked to a scene object being toggled which is deactivating the objects. It's really easy to overlook things, by accident.

I've not experienced the issues mentioned here in anything I've been working on, or in any of the Daedalic games I've played.

If like you say, the music can be a hw/os issue, should not working always instead now is working... without os/hw changes.

It sounds strange that it should & shouldn't work. But sure it could be hardware related. Maybe another application was draining resources or something. I used to use Asio4All plugin when I used to produce music & when that was active it prevented the sound card from playing sounds in all other applications. No idea why, it just did.

Lee, in visionaire, just the background music was not working, the sound worked fine... it was not a hw/os/sound card issue... :O

Did you use the "continue background music" option in any of the scenes properties tabs?

Quick note: it's always recommended to directly add the audio file to each scene & if the file is the same as the previous scene then it will automatically continue without pausing or restarting.

If you save the game on a scene with that option checked then, the next time you load it will either play the background music associated with your menu, or nothing at all depending on what was playing in the previous scene. One of reasons why it's recommended not to use it.

I don't know if that is the issue, but I just figured I would mention it, just in case. wink

I did not use the continue bg music, I used the same file in many scenes (depending of game area).
I have a big suspect, I always worked in my dropbox folder and maybe the dropbox sync could create problems "breaking" in some way the files. However I have not found issue about Visionaire and dropbox but my bugs are too strange and random for any programming bugs. A scene can not disappear and reappear without any human intervention... As programmer I can't accept it.
However, the savegame is created on the pc customer, in C: drive and it can't be a dropbox issue.

    Hello.

I have a same problem with the savegames. If i use a autosave, not problem.

If i use the savegame menu, after the restoration , some hotspot is disabled roll

I find many hours and a lot of testing but i have not found the solution.

It is a bug with 4.1 version ? a fix is planned?

    Thank for you help.

To me some animations I put in the menu seems disabled when I loaded autosave.

So I can't put 'really initial autosaved one (probably autosave number 99 at the beginning)' in the start menu. Well, I executed autosave 99 at intro.

Why? I didn't make quit game button, but just return to the start menu button. When returned to start menu, autosave 99 should be loaded.

It obviously loaded, but all animations in the start menu fucked up. But it kinda working because no matter I proceed in the game and return to the start menu the new game is always working.

The problems seem continued, so instead, I just made autosave in the first scene and when I proceed new game then this autosave will be loaded after some intro movies.

But the problem for this option is sometimes the mouse got invisible around 3 seconds.

It seems to be old problem that couldn't be fixed even now.

By the ways, both ways seem to be working. But some errors annoy me. Why I chose this way? Well, some people want to return to start menu without quitting the game. Load various autosave and play it to see various choices in the game then return again.
