Custom cut-scene skip

    Hi,

i would like to create own functionality for the Esc key during videos and cut-scenes. It would require to hold the Esc for a 2 seconds before it would skip the video/cut-scene.

I guess i could use the keyboardHandler for that. But is it possible theoretically somehow show an interface over the video?
    Thanks

The only thing that shows over videos is the pause image that you can add, which shows up when you pause a playing video with the space bar key.

I would need some progress bar animation to indicate the 2 seconds though.

    oh... just had a thought.

There's a new Lua feature in the current public build that lets you draw images / text onto the screen. Don't ask me how it works though as I've no clue & haven't gotten round to testing it out. Maybe that will allow you to draw on top of videos? I think David posted some examples of it in use in the thread about 4.2.5 being released.
