Black screen in Visionaire Player after latest update

    Hi, I just updated this morning (5.0.7 1199) and afterwards the Visionaire Player broke. I was only seeing a black screen, but I was getting sound and interaction(walking) seemed to be working.

    However, when I entered window-mode and I moved the window just a little bit, the graphics showed up and stayed up.

    More information that might be useful: I'm on a Mac (Mojave) and the previous version was working fine just yesteday. I've tried with both my own project and the Fantasy Quest demo, with the same result.

    Simon mentioned on Discord that there are currently problems with Mojave and its "Metal" Api which need to be fixed.

    Ok, good to know.

    Just to be clear though. It was after updating Visionaire, not my system that caused the problem. It worked fine before.

    Simon introduced the Metal support for Mojave and i guess there are still some problems

    There is no metal support yet. Maybe it handles new apps different than old ones. I can't currently fix it, because there are no nvidia web drivers yet.

    Simon, any chance you could try Mojave in a VM?
    From what I hear it could take months before Apple/Nvidia release new web drivers for Mojave ...

    I have already updated and don't really want to downgrade again to get the web drivers running. I have switched over to the hd4000, that should work so far.

    Hello.
    From yestareday after last upgrade of Visionaire Studio I've the same problem: all is near black, but sounds are ok...
    I've a system based on windows 10 pro 64bit and GeForce Nvidia 750 Ti

    Tried to uninstall the program and reinstalled a fresh new one but the problem persist.
    Are Nvidia drivers the problem?

    I've just updated the Nvidia drivers but the problem remain the same. No video, only sounds.

    Any errors mentioned in the log? After you've run the game via the editor, go to the bit on the toolbar with the 2 play button icons & hover over them. Select "messages.log" & it will open up the folder where the log for the game is saved.

    Or you can check the log while running the game via the editor by pressing TAB to open up the developer console & clicking on the log option.

    Alternatively, if you are using multiple screens then you could use this method to display a live updating version of the log while you are running the game.
