Best solution for a climb stair animation?

    Hi,

in areas of stairs I would change my walking animation to a climb stair animation. My idea is an action area around the stairs that turn on the climb animation if the character walks in and turn off the climb animation if the character walks out. Is this the best solution or that. Or are there better ideas?

That sounds plausible to me. Or if you aren't bothered about letting player control character while character is walking up / down the steps then maybe you should create as cut-scene, that way you could play / create unique custom animations that walks up the stairs in a way that look more realistic.

Yes, you have right. So I could fit this cutscene animation to the stairs exactly.

Oh I almost forgot... it would probably be a good idea if you added in an if character is aligned to... if query into the action areas to prevent triggering the cut-scene if character is not facing the correct direction; i.e. character enters action area after climbing / descending the stairs.

Yes, that could be end in an endless loop, runing up and down the stairs grin
