    Hi guys,
What is the best video format for playing videos in Visionaire? And is there any performance limit for the bitrate of the format?

    Thanks smile

    It's VP8 and .MKV container
There are a few tips on the wiki

Make sure the codec you use with your MKV is indeed VP8 (see the wiki like said Ke4).
Before I was using H264 or Xvid, and I also had problems with the game shutting down.
    With MKV+VP8 it's solved.

I didn't find a way to render directly to VP8, but the convert in ffmpeg works great...

    Mediacoder works great too smile

Anyway it seems that you cannot render directly from After Effects (or other softs). First you'll have to render to avi with a low compression (or another compatible format), then convert it to mkv/vp8 with the ffmpeg method or Mediacoder (or another method that works for you).

I don't know, let's see if someone from the team can reply. However I could never succeed to convert a video to VP9. It always freezed.
VP8 is working as well as Xvid or H264 for me, so I see no reason to go to VP9 for my current project.

It's a bit old post but hope you can help me with movie formats.
I'm using Adobe Animate CC and the only export format is quick time. 5 seconds of animation about 170 MB. I'm reading here the best format for playing video in Visionaire is MKV VP8 but maybe this is outdated and now other formats are compatible...

I've found Cloud converter online, you can convert almost in any format. I've choosen WebM which should be MKV VP8 encoding. The incredible thing is that quality is almost the same and it is a 350 KB file!

Also if I want to add something of After effects for logo intro maybe, also here I go for this MKV VP8 encoding?
