V5 coming to mac anytime soon?

  • #1, by mutajon 9 years ago Zitieren
    Hi!

I'm new - so hello everyone, and thanks for this wonderful community and resource.

Now, as the title states - are there any plans to release V5 for mac as well?

    Thanks

Rc0 is already released for Mac.

Full version isn't done yet for any platform.

    Oh, that's great!

Didn't see it in the 'downloads' page (thought the V5 beta is for PC only).

Btw, what's the funcional difference between the free and the full version?

Yeah this isn't a public version so it was only realesed here in the community.

Not sure about all the differences, but you can't make the game build and you're limitled to a 10 scenes in the free version. Otherwise all the functions should remain the same.

Are you sure about not being able to make a game build?
So if I intend to make a free, non-profit game I still need the full version?
  • #6, by ke4 9 years ago Zitieren
No i'm sure that you can't make the build.
I'm not sure about all the differences between full and free version though it's mainly the two i mentioned.

Yes you will need the indie single-user lincese in order to make a game.

Free version = 10 scenes limit, no builds.
Full version = no limit, builds for all platforms.

We aren't big enough to do something like Unity "you can do anything as long you're smaller than 100,000 a year". We only have one customer that is like that and they pay for much of my time. And I think 50 bucks for a life time support of Vis5 is not too bad (or as long V6 comes a long, which won't be in the next 5 years probably grin).

That is absolutely true, and I am more than likely to pay for the license evetually (just started to learn about and work with the program a few days ago...).
