Released a beta to my backers the other day. Exciting times. Hoping for a full release in January... But having said that I have missed every deadline I have set throughout development so far, so...

Here are some new screenshots to celebrate smile

    Looks preposterously awesome. razz

Shame you don't have voice overs. Bit of Eric Idle & rest of MP clan style voices to go along with the style of your game - would make it even more preposterously awesome-errr....

Haha. Hiring voice actors costs some moneys.

Indeed. Shame it couldn't have been covered in a stretch goal in the kickstarter campaign. Either way... it's always something that could potentially be added at a later date if the game does well on humble / steam, etc.

Yes, voice acting would have been nice, and I definitely would have considered it if I had had the money, but I think there is something to be said for the text only style as well. I find reading can be more immersive than listening to someone talk. It also leaves things more open to interpretation. I think this game would feel completely different if it had voice acting... It would certainly be more 'commercially viable', but I'm not sure it would be 'better'...

I guess it would depend on the voice actors. If they were able to muster up some of that sarcastic & pithy monty python tone to their voice recordings, then I'm sure it would be great. Anything less & you could be right. wink

P.S: even that random sims gibberish might work. *mumble mumble* style of the old English gentlemen.

I actually tried to do talking 'noises' at one point, but I couldn't get it to sound right at all, so I quickly gave in...
