Sprite DLight normal maps and Visionaire

Here is another application like this. Call Spritelamp:
    http://www.snakehillgames.com/spritelamp/

He actually mentions & talks about Spritelamp on the kickstarter page. I think what he wanted to do though was create a tool that is much simpler to use with various preset options as well as the ability to customize as needed.

More important than the customization options is the opportunity to have the tool generate the normal maps automatically, instead of having to paint everything by yourself!

I have see Spritelamp while surfing in the internet.
Then I remember this thread and post to it ;-)

Now I have look at Your Sprite Delight Croud Founding site an see: It's founded !
    Gratulation :-)

One Click sounds nice. PreRendering, too.

Would be nice to see it in Visionaire in future!

Thanks a lot. The project has been greatly overfunded, which is awesome, and all of the stretch goals are already partially implemented.
I am currently fixing some issues with semi-transparent sprites for the lighting preview and re-rendering feature. This will be included in the next beta build.

...so is there a tutorial on how to use these normalmaps in combination with visionaire objects/characters?

Not currently. I think Simon was planning on adding support for normal / depth maps in the future, as he's working on implementing another feature which as far as I know supports normal / depth maps.
