Back to the title... What are snoop animations? I was wondering this a while back myself.

Animations, that you can activate by pressing a key. For example to give players some hints with which objects they can interact.

Is there any examples of how this Snoop system works? I tried using it linked to a keypress/release, selecting the snoop animation, but nothing happens with the key press/release.

    http://wiki.visionaire-tracker.net/wiki/Hotspots_(h2)

New .ved & tutorial created the day. Hold space to show hotspot animations & release space to hide hotspot animations. All scene objects can be interacted with via the left mouse button.

P.S: sorry in advance if it all looks a bit dark. I was also messing about with some shader lighting effects - well more trying to wrap my head around them. It looked ok in my laptop monitor but a bit dark on my secondary monitor.

Awesome! I did it merely following the directions on the page. The wiki is really coming along.

cheers & no problem. I'll add some more how to guides when I can. I have a dynamic lighting based one currently in the works. I've sorted the .ved out but not got round to the wiki page yet. Some of the scripts on the script index page come with .ved examples also. They probably all will at some point.

I tried to make this "hotspot" thing in 4.0 beta. I use the hotspot wiki-tutorial.
The animation or picture appears after pressing the space-button and stops after release. That's good news.

But the position of the snoop animation is ON THE INTERFACE BAR in every case. It's only ONE picture at the same place (don't mind how many objects use this snoop option at the same time).
My interface is a bar on the button of the screen with an absolute offset of 690 px and a height of 80px (I used the demo game bar with it's picts). My snoop picture never leave this interface bar. It doesn't matter which coordinates I used in the scene effect animation position tab - from -1 to -1 up to the midpoint 370, 580 of the object.
