EDIT: I remember that the animation editor has (had?) rising memory usage until all ram is full...  Is it that what you meant? 

 

Not sure, I think it was more to do with the editor making some peoples computers run really really slow.

Normally yes, you would need to purchase a new license every .x version, but the current version is 4.2.5 & it's been over a year since the last update hence the reason why 5.0 will probably be free for existing 4.x license holders.

My Nvidia card is a GeForce GT720 2 Gb

When I updated my drivers Visionaire gone crazy consuming up to 55% of CPU, normally is 20-25%. I made a post about this.

Today I'm using the drivers released in 2014 to run Visionaire, not good at all. I hope that this great issue is solved now.

Should be solved - the new editor has a completely new display system.
