Problem walking behind an objet

    Hi!  Can you help me?
My scene has the attached Way Borders. Since I want the character walk behind the pews, I added those pews as a separate object. But the pews cover the right and left wings of the walkable area completely, and as a consequence when I click those areas the character does not walk (I presume because I'm clicking the object with the pews).
I tried checking the "Object walkable" checkbox. With this option, the character does reach those areas, but walks in front of the pews. This happens regardless of where I put the pews object center.
Is there another method of having these foreground objects without any interaction with the scene but providing depth of field?

After setting the object centres correctly, you have to sort the list in the object's scene menu.

Here is some information about it. Scroll to "The object in 3D space".

Thank you Guus for your feedback. I tried differenet sorting orders until I finally got it right.
