"Play Sound" is broken?

    I have found another 2 .ini files within the Visionaire libraries, this is one:

    I also tried wavs and mp3s, which not only do not work, but make the editor crash as well.
    Oh, and I have also just tried .opus, which same as .ogg works fine in the editor preview but no sound output in game.
    Really not sure what I am doing wrong...

    Nothing mentioned in the log file? Could be a mac issue? I get the occasional sound glitch on the windows editor (sometimes sound engine fails to start on launch - quite rare & quitting / relaunching the game usually sorts it out).

    Mp3 is buggy & not recommended. Wav I guess is ok but it's quite demanding due to the ridiculous file-sizes.

    Maybe it is a Mac issue, I don't know.

    Well don't know about mac (not got mine hooked up at the minute) but both the ogg & opus files you linked are working on my windows 8.1 laptop.

    Would you be willing to share your ved with me? If it's not a mac issue then I might be able to spot something you've added that is causing the sounds not to play.

    Thanks for trying them out mate.
    I guess I'll wait for one of the developers or someone with a Mac to confirm it's just my issue, or maybe a Mac related problem. Really weird.

    I forgot to ask... is this only occurring in your exported builds or when launching game through the Visionaire editor too?

    I've hooked up the mac. Just waiting for it to boot up. I need to download the latest version of the editor as I think I still have the previous one installed.

    It's happening in both the exported build and the editor.

    No problem. It's a bit of an older machine. Mac mini. I'm still of yosemite OS, not gotten round to updating to latest one, so I've no idea if it's mac related, OS related or user error. Nearly done downloading the editor. I'll let you know shortly.

    Can confirm that it's working correctly on Yosemite with Visionaire Studio 4.2.5. Both ogg & opus. I'm upgrading to El Capitan, but that will take a couple hours or so. The upgrade is 6GB (approx) & I've only got 6mb connection.

    * edit: working correctly on the latest version of El Capitan also. If you would be willing to send me your ved / resources then I could have a quick look over & see if you have done something that is causing the sound issue. afrlme (at) outlook (dot) com.

    Ah, this wav and mp3 were only for testing. I know that they aren't well supported.
    What about the example games on the Visionaire homepage? I think they have "play sound" inside as well to test it. Maybe your ved is corrupted?

    Just to test it out if this Problem is related to the editor/player or any kindbof game config:
    Create a new project and see of a playsound worka there
