Opening a browser window not working in html version

Hello, i´ve got another probably stupid question. I´m trying to open a browser window through an action in a game. The script call works in the windows version, but not in the html5 version. Is that script not supported there? Is there a way to circumvent that? It just seems a bit odd that i can´t open a new browser window from, well, a browser game.
