    Hello everyone

    I handed a demo of my game to some friends, but it gives an error of a missing file "MSVCR110.DLL", i dont even have that file in my computer, after some search i found a link with a download of an update, but what should i do? add the download to the file when handing the demo? or try to find the file on the net and add to the demo? wanted to prevent the problem to happen when handing the full game.

    Thank you and sorry for my english

    this file is part of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistrubutable 2012.
    Maybe the affected pc hasnt it installed? You could either install it on that pc or download the file and put it in c:/Windows/system32 .
    Consider that there are two versions of that file (32 or 64 Bit)

    you could either link to the official site from microsoft
    ( https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=30679 ) or to the dll itself from a download portal. But be aware that there are a lot of sites which have installers to download also adware, malware or viruses. . . dll-files.com should be save though. Im not sure if you are allowed to put that file into your game and redistribute the file.  On the other hand these dll sites do the same. . .  To go save i would recommend to put the links an a readme or faq .

    Yes i think i will do a readme file inside the game, explaining all and with the link to the download from the official site from microsoft.

    Thanks =)

    A lot of software have the  Redistributable Packages included, I'm pretty sure you can include it with the game.. I had  quick look but couldn't see the term and conditions

    Pretty much all games on Steam come with redistributable installers for visual runtimes & directx, etc. I don't know if Steam includes them or the people who developed/published the game to Steam.

    just looking... if the download "fix" fails and they are on the Windows 10 anniversary edition get them to try in compatibility mode Windows 7
    There seems to be a lot of issues relating to the dll and some have nothing to do with it directly, ie Windows thinks there is lol
