Looking for game testers!

Not really sure any of us are professionals on here. There's only the odd few developers / studios that you could argue are professional, but even then that would primarily be Daedalic Entertainment, even though there are a couple others, but they are lone wolves or tiny indie teams.

Interesting that you mentioned Daedalic wink we love pokis style and they "innovated" Point and Click adventures so much, it's hard not to copy them

Well, who else would I mention? They are literally the biggest studio that uses Visionaire Studio for developing their p+c games, though some of their recent titles were done in Unity.

I'm not so sure about "innovated", but they certainly helped breath some life back into the genre, which is great all in itself.

Personally my favorite p+c games are Simon the Sorcerer 1 & Broken Sword 1 (Baphomets Fluch), which are both by British developers, the reason being mostly down to the amount of details & effort they put into the graphics, character animations & environmental animations for their games, there's just so much detail & attention to detail overall - though what they created was nothing new in itself, even though Simon the Sorcer (like Daedalic's Chains & Memoria games had characters with additionally abilities for solving certain puzzles though the use of magic or special artifacts). For me though, Daedalic don't always seem to put a lot of effort into the character animations - especially the interaction animations, which they tend to recyle, thus they get thumb down points from me for that as I think it's a little lazy on their part. I'd rather they worked on 1 or 2 great games at any given time rather than a handful of mediocre projects. Having said that, the artwork is really nice to look at in their games.

    Hi,

Thanks for testing our game, here are the links! It's available in English and in German.
The jokes can get really awkward because it's not easy to translate them wink

    Windows: https://www.dropbox.com/s/41dtvr8d6s63ozd/negalla0.1.3.04091...
    Mac OS X: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4bueb2romwy6922/A%20Journey%20to%2...

It could be possible that Windows warns you about viruses... There are no viruses in it, you can trust us wink
I think this version is still a bit buggy, but you can definitvely play till the end wink if you have trouble at some point send us a message! We'll help you smile

We'd love to add this in the next version:
    - Backstory, right now the game just starts, it begins in the middle of nowhere
    - Story in general
    - Better translations
    - Inventory in English, right now it's in German because we hadn't enough time to create new graphics for it, but you'll see what each button does by pressing on it wink
    - better graphics
    - connecting the backgrounds "market" and "downtown" to one big background

What we want to add in the future:
    - working options menu
    - music
    - voice output

If you found some bugs or things you dislike leave a message or mail:

well this game was very weird and still in a state where a game test was not neccessary. It is very roughly sketched out and has beside its grammar and wording issues (in german and english)... lets say "stupid" sense of humor* (you can do better!) and some game bugs.

Im not sure if it is a good idea to list all the little grammar and text things I found here because im not sure if the game will stay the same or if it gets "updated" in any way later.
    To the game bugs:
    - You can get the wood (stick) from the troll again and again by talking to her
    - Right click always clears the command. Even if it changed to talk to a person (which seems not to be a standard command). If i right click on a person when the mouse is already over a person it gets cleared and i have to move the mouse out and then on the person again.
    - The hero can walk on the king in the tavern.
    - when at the end the game switches to the main menu, you can return to the game and do the above point
    - The mole game is not a menu, right? I was able to walk the hero on the right site of the mole "game" window and see his feet
    - some riddles are not comfortable to solve. when i got the license to walk through the door a talked to the guy who still said this license is not valid. But when walking to the door it is...
    - A lot of text errors - in both languages

Even if the game itself was full of some "whyyy?" moments i liked the style and edgy way. Keep up the work and fix the gameplay flaws to make it more playable =)

*The kind of humor where the class git is laughing about unfunny things every time and I am supposed to laugh at these kind of "jokes", too. I felt a bit like watching beavis and butthead but in bad...
