Limited options for selling with LD license?

With the Limited Distribution license, are you only allowed to sell your games over "steam, amazon etc."?
Like, are you only allowed to use established selling platforms like that? How do you even go about getting an indie game on Steam or Amazon... or whatever other sites the "etc" may include?

with the limited license you can only retail your games for a max value of up to €15 or the equivalent of €15 in any other currency, so essentially the license is for digital releases really.

I'm not sure about amazon but I think David has to do some stuff to make your game acceptable on certain stores such as steam or the mac app store.

you can use whatever online store you like if they will accept the generic export you've done yourself from the editor or even sell it yourself via a store you setup using paypal & maybe something like bigcartel or one of the other eCommerce distribution services.

the licenses could do with being more specific towards what you can & can't do...
I'll add the info to the new wiki when I get the specifics.

    Okay, thank you. :3
I know that it takes a bunch of hubbub to get something put up on Steam, Amazon, and such, which is why I was asking if that was the only way you were allowed to sell them.
It's good to hear that it's not. :3

    BTW.
    You're awesome, AFRLme. :'D

:v You're awesome 'cause you answer everyone's questions and stuff.
I figured not many people take the time to tell you that your assistance is appreciated, so I took the liberty of doing so. :3

haha. actually you are the second or third person this week, on here to say something like that to me I think... shame - in the real world, that sadly isn't the case; but then again I can't be expected to please everyone wink

    Change it smile
Steam was not an problem anymore. You just must add it to the greenlight process.
And here, for the Mac we need to resign it without sandboxing (i hope we can fix this with an "Helper App"... "Comment just for dev's, which knows, what i mean^^).

Only for the MacAppStore you need an own "Developer AppID" for the MacAppStore from Apple. I recommend an person, which was "really" an Mac Developer which can create - resign the "Cert" for "Signing". (Really an Mac and Developer was needed)
We have an Developer "Codesign" tool, with it, it was easy to resign the App.
Apple tests every game, before it get's into the AppStore. Very complicated stuff. Think we must and want help wink

    But let me explain it:
You can publish it @ steam (currently Win & Mac), Amazon or something else.
If you want to publish @ the MacAppStore. Sure we help you smile

These are Stores. No Publisher. An Publisher was EA, Ubisoft, Take2, or something else. You make the game, and they publish it.

We want to see much games on each platform and in different "Stores". Be fair to your customers and they should be fair to you smile You see it currently on the Xbox One vs PS4 "battle" what i mean ;D
