For Blender:
Blender Basics Classroom Tutorial in a Book will help you get started with 3D art in Blender. The last I knew, it was free. (I can probably snag you a free copy of the ebook from my school if you can't get it anywhere legally)
Blender 3D: Noob to Pro
The publisher is wikibooks, so I imagine this is free.
Blender Master Class: A Hands-On Guide to Modeling, Sculpting, Materials, and Rendering-by Ben Simonds. Expensive, but worth it.
Mastering Blender- 2nd Edition. John Wiley & Sons Inc. More expensive, no better or worse than the previous book, but a little different.
For Cinema 4D:
CINEMA 4D R11 Signature Courseware is good, but you need to know the very basics.
You can learn the basics at digitaltutors.com for a small monthly fee. Many of my classmates use it for other programs and like it.
base80.nl is a good tutorial website for it.
