Hi there... So I've just published my naughty game made in vs...

    Discord is like a mix of skype, teamspeak, & IRC (the old internet relay chatrooms) - it also just opened up a game store too. I've been using it for about 3 years or so - they are good for social interaction stuff & for creating a community around your product/clan/group/whatever.


    Link is in the footer, icon to the right of the twitter one - recommend installing the desktop app as opposed to using the web browser version.

    Mmm ok, world goes fast, myspace, facebook, tweet, reddit now this discord... I m gonna check it out.

    some people promote their games by creating their own channel, I'm not sure about adult games and whether there's any issues on content

    I believe you can set server/individual rooms as nsfw - plenty of weird shit gets posted on discord all the time (mostly from those weird meme types), though not in our server thankfully. wink

    I would imagine you would need to limit the discord content otherwise it will make your  patreon a waste of time

    You may connect patreon with discord and give roles to patreons only. Depending on role tier they will be able to access certain channel on your discord smile And just be sure to mark all channels as NSFW so you won't have any problems with posting... well about anything lol.

    I forgot about the patreon/discord feature of being able to offer patreon roles based on pledges/tiers.

    It's really easy to setup too. Just link your patreon account & follow the instructions to link the patreon bot. The bot always appears offline, but if a patron with their account sycned on patreon joins your discord server then the bot will automatically assign the role to them.

    Roles can be used to prevent/grant access to certain text/voice channels based on the permissions you setup for each channel.
