for being able to include 3D characters I think.
It's currently on hold until the guy has some free time (also as far as I'm aware) wink

*edit: I think there was some screenshots for it somewhere ... try googling: visionaire studio & 2.5d

The game Syberia is probably the best example of 2.5D game (one of the first)
The big pro is the animation is stored in the 3D model, it can be viewed at any angle, the downside is animating the model and it be made with software that a starving 3D hobbyist can afford, typically engine developers use something like 3D Studio Max which costs £1000's

gutted to hear its still on hold roll

My thread evolved into a completely unrelated topic.
I guess that means I caused a good conversation. grin

And that sounds like an awesome feature. :0
I like hand drawn sprites better though. :p

haha, oh dear, my bad! - you know I've got bad memory Thomas mate.

I vaguely remember David saying something about polish & guy being busy at school/uni - I probably got part of the conversation twisted or something; happens quite often when talking in broken English wink - but it was mentioned to me a few months back & I often struggle to remember the specifics of the day before razz - oh dear.

    how's it coming along then?

I like random threads - more fun than the ones that do manage to stay on topic.

That's weird... my last reply seems to have been messed up somehow.
It doesn't show my user image next to it, and it doesn't have any kinds of buttons on it.
I think it may be because I messed up the quote tags.

There we go. :3 Posting another reply made the edit button show up for the previous one, and now everything's fixed.

(I think the forums coding may need to be updated, if broken tags in a single post and screw up a whole thread. o3o)

it's some bug that sometimes occurs with quote tags for some reason.
think it was because you closed a quote that didn't exist?

Yeah, probably. Because the opening quote tag was missing the closing bracket and running into another word. :v
