Can't load any files

I can't load any recent file i've made, i just bought this yesterday and the company just gives me my purchase information, I'm a newbie so have no idea why no file will open.

On my Linux, the "Open file" button causes focus issues where that dialogue pops up in an invisible task and you have to find the window and focus it.

Not sure what OS you have but perhaps that's happening to you too. See if that's what's going on.
