Android Barcode Scanning

Is there any way that the Andoird version of Visionaire/Lua could ever accept input from a barcode scanner/software?

I don't think it would be possible with Lua script as it's only an extension programming language.

Are there any kind of plugins which could provide barcode functionality?

I'm sorry, I really don't know about any plugins or modules. Simon could probably sort something out but I'm not sure that he would be willing to do so, as I can't see it being a much requested feature. Having said that, I can't speak on his behalf, so I'll let him answer this thread himself when he sees it.

The only way i could think of is to have another app making a scan from the qr code and writing the decoded string to a file which vs can access...
