Hi,

I've started a new tutorial series for Visionaire on my Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0dmw0Z1uP7TbcQYjxEyR2w). I'm no expert in the software but I'm learning and improving with feedback from more experienced users. Right now, the series is just on the basic features. But by the time I'm done, I would like to have enough videos available that after watching them, a user could create a simple point and click game from scratch.

The series is designed to be short and each video covers one major task. This way, if you only need to know how to do one thing, then find that video and watch it. No need to watch 30+ minutes of stuff you don't need to know. Most videos are around 5 to 10 minutes long.

PS: I've been told that my Canadian accent is showing in the video. So beware that words like "out" and "about" sound more like "oat" and "a boat." Other than having sudden cravings for porridge, there shouldn't be any lasting side-effects.

That's so cool ! It's so well explained that a dog could make a game with these videos ! That's a lot of work (I know that, I did kind of a tutorial about LogicPro some years ago)

This is astonishing! Great voice, very sympathetic approach, it's absolutely wonderful how you are explaining things with ease and still there is indisputable, profound sense of your knowledge (even as you said you're still learning -- who doesn't?). I'm very pessimistic person and you can see here and there on the forum my complaining and bitching a lot, but there is no single negative thing I could say about those tutorials. Only little warning - don't get yourself discouraged by low views on Youtube. You're not doing shallow letsplay videos. You're creating educational material and it takes time to be appreciated. I believe that after realising "first wave" of indie Visionaire games (with Stasis at the front), there will be a lot new people and students who will want to learn Visionaire, so I think that yours tutorials will be even more recognized and appreciated as the time goes. So please don't give it up and keep going. As I said before, I can't offer any piece of advice on what to improve or tune, just because it its perfect how it is . Oh and I almost forget to say it - Thank you!

Don't worry. I'm not doing it for the fame or following. As long as some find it useful, I'll keep it up. I enjoy teaching and I find making the videos useful myself because it helps me to learn Visionaire. Things will probably slow down as I hit more complicated and less documented topics because I will need more time to test and script them. But I enjoy teaching and hopefully the series will only get better.

lol. Yeah, I'm from Nova Scotia (Latin for New Scotland) has a heavy Scottish background and most likely that's where our love of the Oh and OO comes from.
