As mentioned in a German post I was trying to convince some game-publisher to make a sponsoring. But even if it won`t be possible to win prices because of my late request I hope everyone enjoys the contest. Up to now the following teams have entered the contest:

"Noblonski" "Thom" "Damiano + Marco" "Nigec" "Neuro" (not sure)

Great news! Daedalic Entertainment has announced that it will give away some prices. They can´t say what in particular these prices are at the moment because they are busy with the local games convention. Let it be a surprise for you!

not that far yet wink yesterday i scrapped everything and started from scratch again, after trying really hard to design and draw stuff myself and failed miserably... which is a good thing, because my new approach fits the theme even better. but tonight, after work, im gonna get back to it and have something soon.

quick quesion: what about copyright? is it allowed to take copyrighted material? (its not mentioned in the rules wink )

    greetings from berlin, phil

(btw, on internet explorer 8, which is mostly used here, i cannot see the 'send' button below those text spaces, regarding the bugs & testing forum post...)

@ noblonski what exactly do you mean with copyrighted material? I think its not a bad idea to avoid copywrited material. But its up to you. I always like to see some good maniac mansion stuff carrying a good storyline. We decided to design a pixel game. But a very special one with a very unique story and game-play. Here are some character-studies and background settings. It´s a big mess because the search of a style we can deal with as fast and as accurate as possible took us a lot of time while brainstorming -period.

wow, that looks nice! i suck at drawing and since the theme is 'grenzen überschreiten' / crossing the line, my game is kinda based on other people's material. dont wanna give too much away yet, but i got a nice idea and a new approach. just wanted to make sure... well, good luck!

Say noblonski, if you experienced trouble, doing the graphics on your own, why haven't you joined a group or tried to team up with someone who has these skills?

I generally wonder in adventure creation, if it really is a greater barrier to group up, than to struggle with to-dos your lacking skills at.

that is truly a very good idea grin but one thing at a time. after this contest i'm definetly trying to hook up with artists, but first of all i need some experience, getting used to the program. for the contest i have the graphics so far.

you know how it is, something's new and you just have to get into it, no time to lose wink

do you have any groups to suggest?
