    Tested something around with letterbox and pillarboxing.
    I added it as an feature request, because it's too close to the next update (4.0.1).

    Sounds great!!! Thanks man, I really hope you can implement it in one of the next updates. It would help all the guys trying to make retro style pixel games. Cannot wait!!! grin

    I could make a launcher for Mac, Linux and Windows.. however I don't have VS r4 just 3.71
    Probably even Android

    So, make an .vis for an "setup" use "ReplaceGame" (http://wiki.visionaire-tracker.net/wiki/ReplaceGame) and write the ini file to start the game vis. This was cross on every platform.

    Interesting idea... but games require restart to change to updated settings. I've not tested but I think that replaceGame function will not register the new settings? Also we could do with a key shortcut to swap between window mode & fullscreen mode - I think it's usually something like ctrl+enter.

    I can do "something" simple like this, which works fine on Windows and 3.7.1, it would have an Authors option so they can customize it to some degree

    Cool, but with an ingame setup you can theoretically create some "main menus" like the game The walking dead. And if the company & gamename is the same as in the game.vis you can load screenshots.
    I see an SDL change for simply entering & resizing fullscreen / windowed mode. But i will have a look later at it, if SDL 2.0.4 comes out smile

    Didn't VS have a launcher at one point.?. I'm sure one of the demo games in the shop has, done with VS 2x , I'm sure Lee pointed it out when we first talked about it :/

    Anyway if someone "needs" a launcher let me know, if its for Rev4 I'd need a simple built game to test it Mac and Windows, I'm very poor after buying the software I'm using to build the launcher lol

    A luncher for resolution, letter...pillar or windowboxing would be great. grin More options, better for the gamers!

    I was just going by the 3.7.1 ini, I don't know if version 4 has screen resolution?

    version 4 .ini file is almost same Nige mate.

    David is currently working on some new screen resolution stuff though (scaling/letterbox/pillarbox/shortcut to toggle between fullscreen & window mode etc).

    @Nige: In regards to screen resolution drop down values, it would probably be best if you generated list based on available screen resolutions of persons computer. So: auto, desktop, generated resolution values. I'm sure it should be possible as I've seen games display resolution options based on curent players computer/monitor.
