Rotate graphic styles? Change Resolutions?

I am looking for a way to be able to rotate between 2 graphics styles. Kind of like the remastered LucasArt adventures. I can (kinda) easily swap backgrounds and spirtes, but since one style would be an old school low resolution style it creates a problem. I if upscale the art to match the 1080p art then the pixel character seems to get higher rsolution as they walk into the distance, whereas this would scale correctly if the game was outputting at a lower resolution.

Anyone have any idea how to overcome this?

    Thank you for any help!!!

I have no idea how they accomplished that with the Monkey Island remasters or the other more recent titles. In Visionaire the only realistic way for you to do that would be to create 2 separate scenes & change between them, however I don't believe it's possible to change the min/mag filter or enable/disable the "activate pixel effect" option during game runtime - unless Simon has made that possible at some point.

It's kind of complicated as the full-hd version of your game would be best displayed using "linear interpolation" filter, whereas the pixelart version would be best displayed using "nearest neighbor" as that's what keeps the pixels sharp instead of them being blurred around the edges to make them look smoother.

Thanks, that is the conclusion I have come to aswell. I figure the best way is to select art style upon launch with a custom launcher and export the game twice, one for each version. Thank you!

If anyone else has any better ideas. I would love to hear them!

I don't think it's possible right now. I tried updating the 3 things I mentioned earlier during runtime & they don't affect what's being drawn on the screen. It seems that they are only applied on game launch.
