Problems loading a walking sequence

    Hi everyone,
I'm just about to do my first steps with visionaire and I have problems already. I created walking sequences for my main character of 12 frames each, using .png format with alpha channel. But when I try to load the sequence, this is what I get. If I hit yes, I get an abnormal program termination. What am I doing wrong?

what is the full directory name where your images are stored? maybe there is a problem with the path... what is the filename you are selecting?

    HI,
by the way, I'm running VS on an iMac with Mavericks 10.9.2
The full path of the project is:
    /Users/mariancerman/Documents/jacob
    The sequence is called:
    jacob no hat walk n0000.png
    .
    .
    .

    jacob no hat walk n0011.png

I just figured out that I can load a single frame with the "+" button. I can delete the single frame and hit the "load sequence" button, VS allows me to select the sequence, but does not do anything else, not even the error report.

could this be a problem which only occurs on Mac? the project path (all your images are stored in this path?) looks ok. I tried loading a sequence in Windows Editor which works fine - I even renamed the files to "jacob no hat walk n0000.png" to test if it could be related to the filenames.

I guess we need feedback from other Mac users.

I have no idea. I'll try to install VS on my macBook pro as well and see what happens.
All files are stored in the same directory without any subdirectories so far.

Ok, I just installed VS on my MacBook Pro and it seems to run fine. Then I reinstalled it on my iMac and I deleted my game folder and created a new one. Now I can load the walking sequence. But I have problems setting the center of the animation, sometimes VS shows me the crosshair and allows me to set the center, sometimes it does nothing and just shows the default mouse cursor.
I could also load a background image and place a new scene object where Jacob would start in the image, but after doing so I could not save & run the game, it gave me some errors and an abnormal program termination. I'll try again tomorrow. I'll see if runs better on the MacBook, but I'd rather work on the iMac for the more comfy screen size. (Or will I have to buy a Windows PC in the end? Maybe I could use it as a step for reaching high shelves after finishing the game)

You could always install parallels like David uses for testing various os on his mac.

please provide an exact and reproducible description of your problem(s). Hopefully Simon or David can reproduce the issue and fix it.
I can't do much unless the problem also occurs on Windows.

Hi guys, I just made a screen recording of what happens. Yesterday evening VS allowed me to load a sequence once, today the error occured again, no way of loading the sequence. As already said, I use PNGs with alpha channel, 500 x 800 pixels for the charakter.
