Problem with ttf fonts: no borders, no shadows, no spaces between words

While using the Visionaire Studio 4.2 I have come across the bug: there is neither font borders nor spaces between words.

How can I solve this problem?

I am working on the techno demo version of my game and I do need a quick solution.

We already know about this bug & it will be addressed in a future build as soon as the devs are able.

For now the only thing you can do is disable borders & shadows. That will display the fonts & fix the spacing issue. On the mac, the issue is even worse as borders / shadows enabled will prevent the text from displaying at all.

So, when is the next build scheduled for release?

The devs don't really set a date. It's just done when it's done & either way, there's no guarantees that the font stuff will be fixed in the next build, as some of the bugs are related to third party lib files, which means the devs have to wait for other companies / developers to release updates, before our devs can fix it in VS.

Ok, thanks. Last question - is there any possibility to downgrade to the previous version (4.1), where as far as I know there is no such bug?

Hmm possibly. Did you purchase VS before or after the release of 4.2. If you have the installation files from previous version floating round then just uninstall the current version & reinstall the old one.

You could always request the old files from Thomas (Marvel). He may have them & if not then one of the devs probably will. However there was quite a lot of bug fixes sorted out for 4.2, so it seems a bit trivial to downgrade for the sake of TTF fonts, especially seeing as they were still broken in the mac version of the player in 4.1.1 or whatever the last version was.
