Also, the Page Numbers should also be at the Bottom of a Page (maybe at the Top ~and~ at the Bottom). When you scroll down unto the End of a Page and then have to scroll up again to switch to the next Page, that is quite annoying and unintuitive -- by that Point, one might even forget that the Thread has multiple Pages and get the Impression of having reached the End of the Thread.

I don't like the divide either. I think people should just be allowed to post in whatever language they like without having to select which language they posted in. Usually the title of a thread is a big enough clue as to whether it's in English or another language.

Segregating posts based on language belongs back in the dinosaur age. Just having the option alone for people to pick which language they want to post increases the odds that people will be lazy & post in their native language even if they can speak some English. Fair enough post away in your native language if you can't speak any English. I know this is probably coming across as somewhat biased because my native language is English, but having said that, anyone wanting to learn or work in game dev really should try to learn some English; especially if they intend to work in it professionally as a career or plan on forming or working with people around the world as...

    1. all programming languages are in English (to my knowledge)
    2. it's highly likely that anyone you work with that doesn't speak your native language will probably speak a little English.

I would also like to see forum categories. I would also like to see a icon / button that takes you to the first new post in a thread since you last looked at the thread.

It must be very time consuming translating topics  so you can offer support

Even in this thread its multiple languages

I totally agree the page numbers should be at the bottom, thats the natural place to look

Aye a little bit, but luckily the majority of people post in English, so it's not that many being posted in German or Spanish. Sometimes I don't always have to bother using a translator if I can pick out some of the words to get a general gist of what's being said.

I think page numbers should be at both top & bottom. Though at the bottom is the traditional format. "Write new article" should be "Reply" as it made me think it actually meant "write new article / thread / topic" at first. Also you should consider adding a reply button to the top as well or a reply button / icon to each persons post too so we don't have to arse around scrolling right to the bottom or top to reply. Also would like to see a return of the floating reply box thing - I liked being able to read & reply at the same time.

It does seem a little big, but I always enjoy some change, so cheers!

However, I insist on "some" change: my gender had been switched to "female". That was an interesting development, but I ultimately decided on remaining a male.

I think everyone defaulted back to female. Though I wonder if the females ended up swapping over to male?

    Hey,

all in all i like the new website but found some issues:

    1. Site: Engine has a point "Screenshots" before the footer. But there are no screenshots displayed... Only a text "Wenn Du ein Adventure entwickeln willst,
ist Visionaire Studio die beste Engine für Dich " (german). This is a bit confusing. I would love to see some editor screenshots here wink

    2. While writing this text. The editor bar has a weird placement for "quellcode" (german). See screenshot:

    3. In Mobile mode (or when reducing the browser window to its minimum) The Thread listing is a bit weird. It shows of course the thread creator but left out the latest post. By that i dont know if in any kind are new posts in a topic. I would recommend to add at least a color or icon indicator to show "here is new stuff added since you last checked the topic". The old forum displayed the last posters name/avatar under the topic name.

    4. catecorization of the forum would be nice (again).

    5. Books: I like it! But i cant do much after creating a new book. There are no options to add text or new chapters. Also I can see not published books, too (lua scripting reference) but can't click on them...

6.Back to "mobile view": Very long topics woth sevaral sites get bloated by all page numbers in the topic listing. See screenshot:
(before it was even worse because the second line was cut off)

    7. Who is online: bring it back grin ...or some kind of indicator in the in the topics beside the avatars

    8. Why are pictures like above not displayed like before?

    kind regards
    Sebastian

Jep, turned male all of a sudden...

And my username was changed into my real name.

...oh I'm esmeralda-1 now. I guess because there was already an Esmeralda (=me)
