Move Save File Between Builds

    Hello Visionaire Forums!
TL;DR: Is there a way to move save files from one build to another?

I've been working on a project in Visionaire for a few months and last week sent out a build of the first chapter for a few people to give me feedback on.  They identified a few bugs that I fixed, and I sent out a new build.  However, I can't seem to find a save file in the build folder, and I'd like to give my testers the option to not have to start from the beginning.

I wasn't able to find an answer in the forums, so my apologies if this has previously been answered.

    Thank you all!

The save files should be located in user/appdata/local/company name/ game name (in windows, no idea about mac)
You can find the folder by hovering over the save symbol in the editor and click on "go to message log"

As Esmeralda said, you should be able to find the save files somewhere there, however it's highly unrecommended to use old save files from previous builds of your game because they will contain incorrect data in them &/or lack data in them, which means that random bugs may occur in your game when a player loads via an old save file, that wouldn't occur during a fresh playthrough or saves created with that build.

I would instead recommend you playing through your game & providing them with save game files at various chapters/sections, if you really want to provide them with save game files.

Quick tip: you can find the folder the save game files will be located in via the Visionaire Studio editor by hovering over one of the play button icons next to the searchbar, which will drop down a new menu. Click on the "goto messages.log" option to open up the folder where the game log, config.ini, & save game files should be located for your current build.
