Did it crash while you were saving it? You should always create backups before & after any major changes, or in general after x amount of time has passed, just to make sure you are safe.

Just out of interest is there a .bak file in the same folder your .ved file is located? If so, then you can remove the .bak extension to turn it into a .ved file. .bak files are auto-generated backup files. I don't know how often they are created mind, so you may still have to redo some of your .ved.

whoa! thank you, now i know something new..
unfortunately i delete all bak and ved file (i'm in the early stage so not a problem).
But when i create a new file in the same folder, and try to execute the game, it gives me the same problem. may i change folder?

    Did it run before?

Quick note: certain requirements need to be met to actually launch a game.

    1. playable character
    2. command interface (linked to playable character)
    3. font (at least 1)
    4. mouse cursors (at least 1)

... I think that about covers it. If the bare minimum requirements aren't met, then it usually returns an error.

Creating a new file in the same folder shouldn't be a problem.
