How to "repeat" a particle effect

  • #1, by battlefoxTuesday, 30. May 2017, 22:19 7 years ago
I have added an object with an particle effect to my scene,
however the particle effect dissapears after a few seconds.
Is there any way to change duration of the effect or some kind
    of "endless repeat" option?

I'm not sure, but I have a rain particle that loops, or appears to-  In the emission window, Maximum is set to 70000, and Emitter Duration is set to 1000.

When I set Maximum to a lower number, say, 10000, it runs out.

Maybe there is a better way to do this?

70000? How did you manage to do this? The particle lifetime is limited to 2000 and number of particles to 1000. Did you use a older Version than Visioanire 4?

Newer.  5RC0.  Sorry.  For 4.2.5 I didn't have any problems- what version are you using?

I use 4.25. So far, I found no way to have a particle effect repeating endlessly. It always stops after a few seconds, no matter what I set in the options. :-(
