hmm I'm not sure what's happening there. you have not enabled action text on the inventory interfaces properties tab? are there any errors listed in the messages.txt or visedit.txt log files found in your projects root folder?

thanks again I must have ticked the "action text" box on the inventory interfaces properties tab by accident. I still don't understand why it would only display the second half of the objects name, but everythuing is working as it should now =)

if you set an interface area then anything outside of the area would be hidden I think... so it could have just been the alignment of the text as the action text box position would have defaulted to the top left of the interface if you didn't manually update the position of the box.
