Best way to stop text?

Ran into a problem today. I'm having this conversation that is triggered at the beginning of the scene. It's a really long conversation, but I would like it to quit itself if a certain condition is true. This condition is true when clicking on a specific object - and the conversation is supposed to quit and not continue. However, it does continue - and I'm not really sure why. I've tried skip current text, and quit action part. However, it seems like it doesnt want to quit even if the condition is met.

So, anyone who knows any advice in how to stop a conversation?

    Cheers!

dialog? spoken text? or narration text? & is it set as background text?

you can't skip text set as background text, not even with the skip text action part. I'm not sure what would happen if you included it inside of a begin/end cutscene action & you clicked the ESC key to skip the cutscene...

crap, all my text is always as background text >_<. I might check your train of thoughts and see if it works, you mean I would assign the esc key to a specific command or action?

no I meant: what happens if you create a begin cutscene action & place the background text inside of the cutscene? by default cutscenes can be skipped with the escape key - I've not tested it before, so I'm just wondering what happens...

The reason for using background text is that it doesn't wait for the text to finish displaying before executing any action parts listed after the display text part & because it's a background process, there is no way to cancel it out.
