Audio and resolution problems with publishing a game build

I'm very new to Visionaire, and wanted to create and publish a short little practice game before attempting larger projects. I was able to figure out the basics and make a short game on it. I'm basically ready to put it on itch.io at this point.

I have not been able to find anything that walks through the steps of actually finishing and publishing a game, so I don't know if I'm doing it correctly.  I choose the "Build game" option, select Windows, select an output file in the folder I'm using to hold my game files, and build my game.

Since I can't find specific documentation on this (and I have not been able to access the wiki), I'm stuck with two issues that I don't know how to fix:

    1. When I open the game that I build, there's no sound, and Visionaire tells me that all of the sound files are missing. How do I include sound into my game build? Is this a scripting thing that I'm unaware of? I'm unfortunately not experienced with script. I hadn't had to use it for most of the development of my game, so there's a lot I don't know.

    2. I set the game for 1366 x 768 resolution, and it opens up in a window format when I'm editing it in visionaire. But the build opens up fullscreen. I would really like this game to open up in a window at the resolution I set for it; is there a way to fix this? If not, I might try making this a browser-based game instead.

Sorry if I'm just being very dense. I'm still very new to this and don't understand a lot of the coding language.

    Hi,

regarding windowed mode, there seems to be this: LINK

Regarding the sound, did you double-check, that your sound files are indeed in the folder they should be in? Are they the right format? (.ogg/.opus preferably). Did the sounds play when you set them up in the editor and click to preview?

The sounds always played when I previewed in the editor before, so I figured they were in the right place (and did make sure to put them all in ogg.) But now that I've messed around with the folders, it looks like they weren't after all. I put them and the folder I was using for the art assets into the same folder for the game to access, (which seems kind of common sense now that I think about it...) and now the sound plays just fine, though I had to refind them in the editor first.

The forum you linked also solved my resolution problem perfectly.

Thank you, this really helped me a lot!
