Problem mit Grafikimport

    Hallo liebe Leute,

Sounds like you've used the wrong export settings, the correct settings in let's say Photoshop for png files is... rgb / 8bit, if I remember correctly - don't currently have photoshop installed at the minute to check.

Once you have exported a working png, feel free to convert your png file to webp format at 100% quality lossy with XnConvert (a free batch image convertor) for roughly the same quality images with about 50% less file size. It's all about the optimization. wink

Thank you! With 8-bit it just works fine. And thanks for the little hint about XnConvert. I will try that out later.

But i also found out that those graphic errors only appear when i export the 16bit png with the alpha-channel.

Visionaire only seems to be able to correctly draw images with specific settings. Png with the settings I recommended is the official recommended image format, whereas we recommend converting your images & animations afterwards to webp format if you want the best optimization for your game as it's really hard to notice the difference between the quality of your png versus a webp version of your image exported at lossy quality 100%.

The good thing about using webp is the file-sizes tend to be a lot smaller than png versions of your images, which means less hard drive space is used & images / animations will be loaded faster, which is great for people using laptops & lower-end machines.

@afrlme could you add a notification to the wiki article (https://wiki.visionaire-tracker.net/wiki/Image_Encoding) and mention that it works (best/only) with 8bit pngs ?
