Click here to watch the trailer!

    Hi!

Hope you are all well and enjoying your mondays...?

Last week I hit a couple of milestones I’ve been aiming for for aaaages: sending my kickstarter campaign off for approval (fingers crossed) AND finished off a quick trailer for the game - link above!

Would love to know what you think, it features animations from the updated demo that I can finally get back to finishing off now that I have that all out of the way.

Ah, I can actually get back to working on my game. Who knew kickstarter was so much work – and I haven’t even started the campaign yet!!

Haha, well, back to enjoying the day but more to come soon.

    Take care and sail safe,

    Kris aka Jason

The animation looks fantastic : D much better than the half assed hand movement others do that looks like they are passing drugs lol

    Hi Kris,
I like your art, and so many different animations! Great work!
But why do I need to submit my email address to get the demo? This could make people suspicious and hinder them from downloading it...

it sort of signs you up to a newsletter thing which then emails you updates on the game & links to any newer versions of the demo etc. (far as I'm aware)

& good luck with the kickstarter campaign kris wink

Hey All - thank you for your messages, much appreciated!

The campaign does indeed have approval now, woohoo! Ah, I just love the animation and character in general, I'm sure everyone's doing the best they can, everyone has their own strengths I guess!

Hopefully, Nigec, mine wont look like any drug passings going on...

Esmeralda, as AFRL mentioned, it does indeed sign you up to my newsletter updates - I'd love to be able to keep people up to date and I wanted to give people some sort of reward for signing up.

So many animations is certainly not helping me keep the file size down, though... wink

    nice one!

    animate away, I say wink
nothing worse than piss poor generic animations being used in 2d games.

one of the reasons I've always appreciated the british made adventure games such as "simon the sorcerer" & the "broken sword" games, is because of the amount of attention to detail & the fact that they use unique animations for pretty much every action in the games; unlike certain other lazy developed games where the character just seems to randomly prod or grab or whatever at nothing in particular.

one of my worst gripes is when a character picks up/removes an object from the scene without actually interacting with it & then the object just seems to disappear into thin air! (poof, gone!)

I totally agree - what I hope to make is as much like an animated cartoon story as possible. I love to make over the top animations as i think visionaire handles them fantastically, its one of my favourite features now you've shown me how! wink

Esmeralda, in the same day two people have mentioned about the email address so I have made it optional, I hope this makes it more friendly? I'd still like the opportunity to get peoples email addresses if possible but dont want to force them!
