    Hello!

I have another trouble. I have exported all game text in order to translate these from Spanish to English but, when I have tried to import the text back to the game VS shows a sucefull message and I only can see the text in Spanish... text in english don't show anything...

I was looking on the forum but I can't found nothing.

    Thanks, guys!

EDIT: While my patner was translating the texts, I added news texts in the game... Could it be the problem?

.Po files does seem to work only for exporting, not importing. Wou will probably need to use the .CSV file instead. I was having the same issue when i was translating, nothing was added after importing the .po file.

What version of Visionaire are you using? Maybe it was fixed in the beta. If it's fixable though. I don't know if that's bug or not.

However the .CSV file works great.

We're using VS 4.2.5 and we have the file trasnlated entirelly... so, do you know if there is any program to convert po files to csv files?

Thanks for the answer, I'm going crazy...

Take a look at this, it might be doing what you need. I've never used it, just found it now.

I recommend testing the import in the beta first though.

You could also probably write a script for that. It's possible to manipulate both .po and .csv files in PHP. ( or other languages )

    Hi,

importing .po files should work as well. If you want you can send me the ved and po files and I'll have a look.

otherwise you could of course transform the po file to a csv file with a script.

Thanks you both for your replies, guys.

I'm going to try using csv2po. If I fail with this... I only can copy and paste phrase by phrase... this could be better than nothing... :p

PD. I sent you a MP, Alex.

Well it depends on how many texts you have in your game. 1000+? That would be madness to copy and paste all the lines. In that case i guess i could help you with the script, it shouldn't take long to write.

This is the prelude, 3 chapters. I'm not sure but It has about 600 texts without including images description texts (objetcs in scenes). The .Po file has 1441 texts in total. I couldn't agree with you more; this would be madness to copy and paste all texts...

I found a script to convert a CSV file to PO format using PHP. I'm reading this now to have and idea...

It might be interesting try to create a script for this purpose and share it with the VS community in order to help to another members with the same trouble.

Thanks for sending me the files, juansirlink.

There were some bugs concering text import from po-files. I've fixed them for the upcoming release, so text import will work (again) with v5. In case there are still problems with the import just let me know.

*lol* That's funny. It's for Linux only, isn't it? It's great to work on Linux, but... now I need a Visionaire for Linux too... wink wink
